35th Annual Taste of Newport to Benefit Child & Family

 

Middletown (RI) September 20, 2018 –  Child & Family’s signature annual benefit, “Taste of Newport,” will mark its thirty-fifth anniversary when it returns to The Atlantic Resort, 240 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, on Sunday, October 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Citizens Bank as the 2018 Presenting Sponsor.

Guests will enjoy a sumptuous variety of passed small plates and tempting tasting stations, presented by upwards of thirty of the finest area restaurants, caterers, beverage vendors and confectionaries. During this festive culinary cocktail party, guests will mingle with their favorite chefs and bid on silent and live auction unique experience offerings, while learning about the important work of Child & Family, one of the state’s largest social service agencies, founded in 1866.  NBC WJAR 10’s Patrice Wood will be the evening’s emcee. According to Child & Family President and CEO, Marty Sinnott, “Proceeds from Taste of Newport fund programs and services which help thousands of our neighbors in need, especially children, families and elders in crisis. From 1866 to 2018 one thing has never changed: Child & Family’s commitment to support and care for Rhode Island communities.”

General tickets are $125.00 and include tastes from all the culinary and beverage participants and “Make-a-Difference” tickets, which include table seating, are available for $250.
