Through the kindness of our donors and community partners, Child & Family was once again able to give children and families, who might otherwise go without, toys to open, warm clothes, and gift cards to cover basic needs, as well as hope and joy during this special time of year. And, due to the incredible generosity of Child & Family’s donors, we were able to share our bounty with several other organizations that serve children and families in need, such as the RI Department of Human Services, Sandywoods Farm in Tiverton, children of inmates through the RI Department of Corrections Institutional Program & Services Parenting Holiday Gift Program, Star Kids, and the Newport County YMCA’s Inclusion Department.
Child & Family would like to thank all 150+ individual donors and organizations who made a gift and volunteered their time, such as Gil’s Appliances, The Good Toy Group, IAF 1080 Newport Fire, Bliss Properties, Bellevue Gardens Shopping Center, the Aquidneck Club, Island Books, Kirby Perkins Constructions, Helly Hansen Newport, the R.I. Division of Taxation, Courtyards Ltd. Tiverton, Affiliated Insurance Managers (AIM), Ace Lobster Company, Inc., CRV Insurance, Embrace Home Loans and everyone else who supported our Holiday Giving Program.
Child & Family is pleased to share that the 2022 Adopt-A-Family Holiday Giving programs provided holiday gifts for over 300 vulnerable children throughout Child & Family programs and local organizations. Recipients include the special young people who will spend the 2022 holiday season in Child & Family’s Semi-Independent Community Living Program as well as our Foster Care programs.
