Rhode Island’s 10th Annual Child Care Awareness Day May 2, 2021

Rhode Island’s 10th Annual Child Care Awareness Day was held virtually on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

The Permanent Legislative Commission on Child Care in RI, in partnership with Strolling Thunder RI, hosted their annual Child Care Awareness Day on May 2nd bringing legislators, early care and education providers, parents, policymakers, and members of the public together to discuss challenges and advocate for resources to meet the needs of children and families.

Child & Family’s Sandpiper Early Learning Center was featured as part of the online presentation, featuring two very special Sandpiper parents, Kelly Powers and Alyssa Nichol. Thank you to you both for sharing your stories. Our hope is for all RI families to have access to high-quality childcare like those at Sandpipers, no matter their socioeconomic situation.
