Hundreds of supporters of Newport Child & Family gathered Oct. 29 at The Atlantic Resort in Middletown for the 34th annual “Taste of Newport,” which raised nearly $80,000 for the organization’s community programs. The signature benefit was made possible through the generosity of the area’s top restaurants, confectioners, caterers and beverage vendors, whose chefs and other culinary staff presented guests with appetizer, entrée, dessert and libation tasting samples during the cocktail party-style event.
