Child & Family is a private, nonprofit organization working every day to help the most vulnerable children, families, and seniors across Rhode Island since 1866.
Our mission is to strengthen individuals, families, and the communities in which they live by identifying needs and utilizing best practices.

Ways to Give

As a private nonprofit organization, Child & Family relies on the generous philanthropic support of individuals, corporations, and foundations for our mission of helping vulnerable children, families, and the elderly.

Thank you for your support of Child & Family. Every gift assists a child, family, or senior in need statewide. Whether it be foster care, supportive housing, independent living, family preservation programs, or senior citizens, Child & Family is there to assist through challenging times of crises.

We would not be able to provide our essential services without the help of people like you

The past few years have been challenging for everyone. This time of uncertainty has a direct impact on the lives of children, families, and the elderly that Child & Family serves every day.

Our services have never been in such demand as they are right now. Every day, more and more families seek assistance.

Many people face an uncertain future between the pandemic, the housing crisis, and inflation.

No matter the size, every gift will foster the continued growth and success of those we serve.

Your generous gift to Child & Family will make it possible for us to serve the vulnerable members of our community that are in need. We are immensely grateful for your assistance, as it has enabled us to help the homeless and children in foster care, as well as elderly individuals going through a challenging period. Your kindness is truly appreciated, and we could not do what we do each day without you.

Thank you for helping us to make a difference!

See if your employer will match your donation!

Many employers provide matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from employees’ spouses and from retirees may also qualify for a match. Search to find out if your employer has a matching gift program.

Make traditional gift-giving occasions particularly meaningful by helping children and families in Rhode Island to have healthier, happier futures. Whether it is Mothers/Father’s Day, a birthday, wedding, shower, anniversary, or other celebrated occasion, consider asking those who are celebrating with you to give a donation to Child & Family in lieu of gifts.
