Each month Iron John events invite successful men from diverse backgrounds to talk about the future possibilities available to the boys and young men attending these events.  These evenings provide an opportunity for boys and young men to consider different careers, solve problems, meet and talk with each other, and share a meal together.

Since 2010 young men 13-19 years-old have been teaming up with community leaders who share their talents, compelling stories and perspectives on life in general.  Past events have included a free basketball clinic with the Salve Regina Univesity Basketball Team and a concert by renowned pianist John Davis.

The program was inspired by the 1990 book “Iron John” by Robert Bly, which contained the lessons from the past and how they influence modern day male development.  Today, the program is an opportunity for Rhode Island youth to connect in a relevant way with men who make a difference.

If you would like to host an event or share your story with the boys and young men who attend our Iron John events, reach out to us today.
