Middletown (RI) June 1, 2021– In 2021, Child & Family will celebrate their 155th birthday of serving Rhode Islanders in need! They invite you to celebrate with them to make a direct impact on the at-risk youth, families, and elders in their care. The 7th Annual Townsend Campaign & Auction Birthday Celebration will run online from Wednesday, June 16th starting at 9 am, and end on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 5 pm.
The COVID-19 health pandemic is a multi-pronged threat to our systems of health and social and racial justice, exacerbating homelessness, job loss, food insecurity and substance use disorder affecting many people disproportionately. The concurrent pandemics undermine the safety of our vulnerable children and families. The Townsend Campaign & Auction is raising basic needs funds to address these issues for Child & Family clients in need and to strengthen the fabric of our communities, as Child & Family has been doing for 155 years.
