Henry, a ninety-year old Home Care client of three years was reported by his CNA to be exhibiting signs of depression and social withdrawal. Child & Family’s Information and Referral Specialist met with him to discuss these concerns. A Child & Family Volunteer with numerous interests and hobbies in common Henry was assigned, through our Friendly Visitor Program, as a way to provide more frequent social interaction and companionship. Within a month, Henry renewed his enthusiasm for fishing and woodworking through shared projects and his quality of life has revitalized.
